What once was just a dream—having a growing family of parishes and a thriving gospel presence on the South Shore of Boston is now a reality. And now, we stand at the threshold of another defining moment in our church's story...

We are so grateful for what God has already done over the last 17 years for Life Community Church, and it only stirs in us a deeper hunger for what God wants to do next. As a result, we believe God is inviting us to take our next bold step of faith together, and we are launching a resource initiative called Prepare.

A significant portion of this resource initiative will go toward paying off our mortgage. Eliminating this debt will free us to invest more resources directly into ministry and future growth. In addition, we will be preparing our building— to be a welcoming space designed to serve as a hub for community life and gospel impact throughout the week. This will make our building not only a place for worship on Sundays, but a place where friendships are formed, needs are met, and conversations about Jesus naturally happen every day. This is about more than a building or a project. It’s about preparing for all that God has next—becoming a church of good news people, who are deeply formed in the way of Jesus and take responsibility for His mission in our city. Through the Prepare Initiative, we are trusting God to use our collective generosity to change lives and serve our neighbors, making Life Community Church a lighthouse in our city for many years to come.
This resource initiative will enable us to secure a permanent home in Weymouth, purchasing a building where we can gather for worship and also create a hub for discipleship and service in our city, and help plant more churches across New England by equipping future church planters through a residency program, while also supporting new church plants in our region. This vision will require us to pray desperately, live sacrificially, and give generously. And yet, we believe this step is not just about a building — it’s about preparing for the countless lives in our city that will be transformed by the gospel in the years ahead.

Frequent Questions

Why are we doing this now?

We have witnessed God’s faithfulness to grow our church and open doors to serve our city, and we believe, by His grace, this is just the beginning of what God wants to do in us and through us. Now we sense Him calling us to take the next steps.

What are we ultimately preparing for?

We’re preparing for greater gospel impact — not just more programs or buildings, but more people meeting Jesus, growing in faith, and being sent out as missionaries in their everyday lives.

How does this initiative help advance the gospel?

It removes barriers for people who are searching for a church to belong to, strengthens our ministry to the next generation, and allows us to plant more churches across Greater Boston and beyond.

What are we being asked to give?

Everyone is invited to prayerfully consider two things:
1. A one-time gift to be given by the end of 2025.

2. An ongoing commitment of what you will give above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings over the next two years.

Is this a one-time gift, a pledge, or both?

Both. We’re inviting everyone to make a one-time gift and also a two-year pledge.

How long do we have to fulfill our one-time gift?

One-time gifts can be fulfilled anytime between Prepare Sunday (November 2, 2025) and December 31, 2025.

Should I reduce my regular giving to participate in this?

No. The Prepare Initiative is about giving above and beyond our regular giving. Regular giving sustains our ongoing ministry; this special offering helps us prepare for what’s next.

What if my financial situation changes after I make a commitment?

We understand that circumstances change. Your commitment is a statement of faith, not a contract. If your situation changes, you can adjust your giving accordingly — God cares more about your heart than the number. If at any point you need to increase or decrease your total pledge amount, reach out to us at info@lifecommunitynow.org and we will make the adjustment for you.

How will these funds be managed and accounted for?

Funds designated for the Prepare Initiative will be tracked separately and used specifically for the stated purposes of this initiative — securing a permanent home and planting new churches.

How can I discern what God is calling me to give?

Through prayer. We’re asking everyone to take time to seek the Lord and ask, “God, what would You have me give?” It’s not about equal gifts, but equal sacrifice — trusting God to lead each of us as we step out in faith.

What if I don’t feel ready to make a financial commitment?

That’s okay. Take the time you need to pray and process. The goal isn’t pressure but participation — for every person to take their next step of faith and generosity.

How can I participate if I’m not in a position to give much financially?

Your participation matters more than the amount. God honors the heart behind the gift. You can also serve, pray, and invite others to be part of what God is doing through this initiative.

How does generosity grow my faith?

Generosity stretches our trust in God’s provision and deepens our joy in His mission. As we open our hands, we experience His faithfulness in new ways.

When is Prepare Sunday and what will happen that day?

Prepare Sunday is November 2, 2025. It will be a special day of worship and celebration as we bring our commitments to the Lord together, trusting Him with what’s next.

How do I submit my commitment?

You’ll receive a commitment card to bring on Prepare Sunday, and you can also submit your commitment digitally through our website or the LCC app.

Can I give online, or does it have to be in person?

You can give online, in person, or by mail — whatever works best for you.

Will there be updates along the way?

Yes! We’ll celebrate milestones and share progress updates throughout the initiative so we can all see how God is working through our collective generosity.
