Our Story

The first two chapters of the Bible show us what life was supposed to be. The last two chapters in the Bible show us what life will be again. Everything in between is the story of God sending His son Jesus to come and restore us back to the life He created us for. This is where the name Life Community comes from; we desire to be a community that’s on mission with Jesus to see life restored in our communities.

The beginning...

In April of 2008 Life Community started out of Grace Church in Stoughton, MA, as a Bible study, in a living room with 15 people.
In June, we’d outgrown the living room and started meeting in the Quincy Marriott. After 2 months we relocated to the Lincoln Hancock Community School in West Quincy. On September 21 of 2008 Life Community had its official launch and started meeting every Sunday.
After meeting at Lincoln Hancock for 4 years, we had outgrown the cafeteria. On Sunday, September 23 of 2012, we moved to the Sterling Middle School in West Quincy.

a season of growth...

We met at Sterling Middle School for 4 years, then on March 1, 2017, we purchased our first building at 158 Washington St in Quincy.

After 9 years of meeting as one congregation in the city of Quincy, on September 17, 2017, we started our second parish in the town of Braintree.

Today, Life Community continues to experience God’s blessing as we see more and more people’s lives being changed by the gospel.
